At Nordlings, we are committed to the ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence, while maintaining the highest standards of protection for our artists and their creative work. This policy explains how we use AI technology in our operations and our unwavering commitment to safeguarding our talent.
No AI training on artist data: We never use artists’ voices, performances, likenesses, or personal materials to train AI systems.
Strict prohibition of cloning: We actively guard against any unauthorised voice synthesis, cloning, or digital reproduction of our artists.
Consent and fairness: Any AI-related use of artist materials requires explicit written consent and appropriate compensation.
We are open about our AI usage through this public policy.
We maintain clear boundaries between AI-assisted operational tasks and genuine human creativity.
Our practices are reviewed and updated regularly as technology and industry standards evolve.
We adhere to guidance from Equity, PMA, AVA, and other relevant industry bodies.
Our approach aligns with UK GDPR and other applicable data protection laws.
We advocate for robust regulatory frameworks to protect creative professionals.
AI tools may be used by our employees only for generic business efficiency tasks such as drafting social media posts, preparing marketing materials, or updating website content. These uses never involve artist voices, likenesses, or creative materials.
We never use AI for:
Processing or analyzing artist voice recordings, demos, or performances.
Training AI systems on any artist-related materials.
Creating synthetic versions (whole or partial) of artists’ voices or likenesses.
Handling confidential artist information.
Client negotiations or sensitive communications without disclosure.
AI is never used in place of an artist’s authentic performance.
All work presented to clients represents the genuine talent and skills of our artists.
AI remains a background tool for internal efficiency only, not part of artist-client deliverables.
At no point is confidential, client, or project information processed by or disclosed to AI systems.
Our artist agreements include specific AI protection clauses that:
Prohibit unauthorized AI reproduction of performances (in whole or in part).
Require explicit consent for any AI-related use of artist materials.
Guarantee fair compensation for any permitted AI applications.
No scraping permitted: We prohibit unauthorized collection of artist data from our website or materials.
Secure storage: Artist personal information is securely stored internally and never shared with AI tools or companies.
Public showcase materials: Artist demos on our website are shared solely for promotional purposes, as provided by the artists themselves.
Deletion rights: Artists may request removal of their materials at any time, and this will be actioned promptly.
We work actively with industry partners, including:
Equity – Supporting union guidelines and member protection.
PMA (The Personal Managers’ Association) and AVA (The Association of Voice Agents) - Maintaining industry-wide standards.
Fellow agencies and legal/regulatory bodies – Contributing to ethical AI governance.
No artist data is shared with external AI services.
Regular security audits ensure continued protection.
Access logging and monitoring are in place for all personal data.
All AI tools used by staff are pre-approved, defined as software or systems that generate, process, or analyze content using artificial intelligence methods.
Clear usage guidelines exist for each approved AI tool.
Practices are updated to remain compliant with evolving regulation and best practice.

Artists or third parties who suspect unauthorised AI use of Nordlings’ talent may report it confidentially.
We investigate all reports and, where appropriate, take legal action or industry escalation steps.
This policy is regularly reviewed and updated as AI technology and regulations evolve. We will notify artists and clients of any significant changes and maintain previous versions for reference.
