Jon began his journey into Motion Capture while studying at the University of Salford, studying an MA in Acting for Screen, working extensively with their burgeoning Motion Capture department, researching performance methodology and exploring technical capabilities to improve not only his own understanding of the art form, but how motion capture was taught at the University. During his time there, he performed in, and directed, multiple short films, experimenting with everything from Monster/Creature performance, to Full Performance Capture, and Fight Scenes, and learned digital filmmaking using the Unreal Engine, building on his knowledge from his Undergraduate degree in filmmaking.
Since graduating, he has undertaken training in order to bolster his skills as a performer, studying stage combat with the BADC and Firearms with Bare Arms Training, with his current repertoire of weapons expanding to Unarmed combat, Knives, Rapiers, Longswords, Swords & Shields, Quarterstaffs, Rifles, Pistols, and Bolt Action Sniper Rifles. He has also trained with Jessica Jeffries and Josh Archer in video game performance, and helped teach Salford University students in motion capture methodology.
In recent months, he has worked extensively with Cloud Imperium Games, providing Performance Capture and Voice Over for Star Citizen and Squadron 42, in a multitude of different roles across the Verse.
